Ambassador Roles

Choose the role that best fits your interests, skills, and availability:

Workshop Facilitator

What You'll Do:

  • Lead parent education workshops at schools or community centers
  • Co-facilitate family digital safety sessions
  • Present at PTA/PTO meetings and school events

Time Commitment: 4-6 hours per month

Training Required: 12 hours initial + ongoing support

Peer Mentor

What You'll Do:

  • Provide one-on-one support to parents with questions
  • Facilitate parent discussion groups (online or in-person)
  • Offer guidance on specific digital safety challenges

Time Commitment: 3-5 hours per month (flexible)

Training Required: 8 hours initial + peer support

Community Advocate

What You'll Do:

  • Raise awareness about digital safety in your community
  • Organize local events and information sessions
  • Connect families with resources and support

Time Commitment: 2-4 hours per month

Training Required: 6 hours initial + resource orientation

Content Creator

What You'll Do:

  • Write blog posts or articles sharing experiences and tips
  • Create social media content for parent audiences
  • Develop practical resources and guides

Time Commitment: Flexible (2-8 hours per month)

Training Required: 4 hours initial + editorial support

Resource Coordinator

What You'll Do:

  • Maintain and distribute digital safety resource materials
  • Coordinate volunteer schedules and activities
  • Support other ambassadors with logistics

Time Commitment: 3-5 hours per month

Training Required: 4 hours initial + administrative support

Training Program

We provide comprehensive training to prepare you for success as a Parent Ambassador. No technical expertise required—we'll teach you everything you need to know!

Core Training Modules

  • Module 1: Digital Safety Fundamentals (3 hours)
  • Module 2: Age-Appropriate Guidance (2 hours)
  • Module 3: Communication Skills for Parents (2 hours)
  • Module 4: Current Trends and Challenges (2 hours)
  • Module 5: Role-Specific Skills (2-4 hours based on role)
  • Module 6: Resources and Support Systems (1 hour)

Training Format

  • Self-Paced Online Modules: Complete at your convenience
  • Live Virtual Sessions: Interactive training with instructors (optional but recommended)
  • Practice Opportunities: Shadow experienced ambassadors
  • Ongoing Education: Monthly webinars on emerging topics
  • Peer Learning: Regular ambassador meetups and discussions

Requirements

  • Age: Must be 18 or older
  • Parenting Experience: Parent, guardian, or caregiver of children/teens
  • Commitment: Minimum 6-month commitment preferred
  • Background Check: Required for roles involving direct child interaction
  • Training: Complete required training modules
  • Attitude: Non-judgmental, supportive approach to helping families
  • Technology: Basic computer/smartphone skills and internet access

Getting Started

  1. Submit Application: Complete our brief online application (10 minutes)

  3. Background Check: Complete required screening (if applicable)
  4. Training: Complete core training modules at your pace
  5. Role Selection: Choose your preferred ambassador role(s)
  6. Mentorship: Paired with an experienced ambassador for support
  7. Launch: Begin your ambassador activities!

Rolling Admissions:

We accept new parent ambassadors year-round! Start your training as soon as your application is approved.
